France Telecom, the owner Orange and Deustche Telekom, the owner of T-Mobile will undertake a joint venture, that will make their new company the largest mobile operator in UK. Their venture will them to have a 30 million subcribers.

Both the carriers will continue continue to operate as separate entities, yet they will share all behind the scene resources and infrastructure. It seems that both the companies wants to keep their brands. If any Orange customers thinks that they would gain access to T-Mobile products and vice versa, then you may feel sorry as this is not the way it is going to be. But this deal would certainly save each company billions of dollars.
