Many Android phone owners are so happy to know that Fring making its way into the Android Market. Fring has just unveiled their very first version for Android mobile platform by enabling the world’s first free of cost voice calls (VoIP) over Fring, Skype, MSN and Google talk. Starting from today, Android users will have a chance to use free VoIP calls not only over Skype, MSN, Fring and GoogleTalk, but also on hundreds of SIP providers.

With this device you can chat live with your Yahoo!, ICQ and AIM buddies. You can also access Twitter as part of your integrated contact list. Fring on Android OS works over GPRS, 3G or Wi-Fi net connection. Fring is also supported on thousands of iPhone, iPod touch, Symbian S60, J2ME, Windows Mobile and Linux devices, throughout the world. Any Android users who would like to get Fring on their device, can easily download it from Fring’s WAP site at m.fring.com or directly through the Android Market.
Also, the Fring Team wants you to know there are a few known Issues that will be fixed in the next version. Here you go:
- In Motorola DROID, the GSM contacts do not appear in fring’s buddy list.
- SIP and SkypeOut calls are not available on the Moto DROID, yet.
- When terminating a call, call disconnection tone may be heard a few times.
