Motorola DROID can record video at 720×480 resolution whereas most Android handsets record at 320×240. That means Moto DROID can record video at the same resolution as DVDs.

Applications will take advantage of the superior hardware. The first application to do that is Qik, which is the live video broadcasting app. The new Android Qik application is currently in the invite-only. Qik also gets a brand new UI update along with an updated version of the ‘Speed Sharing Ribbon’ that allows users to share their videos instantly with specific contacts.
