Last night, Saygus unveiled their first Android handset the VPhone, at a pre-CES show in Manhattan. This set will be available to Verizon Wireless customers. Being an Open Development Initiative set, it won’t be supported by Verizon. Saygus itself will provide the handset support.

According to Saygus, this device will ship with Android 1.6OS. In near future, it will be updated to Android 2.0. The VPhone will be launched in late 2009 or in early 2010.
