Sony Ericsson to launch Android application store

Now a days, app stores seem to be all the rage for mobile handset makers. We recently brought to you an exclusive preview of the Motorola SHOP4APPS. Today we came to know Sony Ericsson will be accepting Android applications for its PlayNow store.

Sony Ericsson is yet to launch its very first Android OS phone (Xperia X10), but developers can now submit their apps for review. Submission is free and developers receive a 70% share of net revenue.

The expected release date of Xperia X10 is Q1 2010. Therefore, developers must get ready if they want their applications to be listed at the launch. There is a chance Sony might feature your application on their YouTube account (see below).

So,  if you are interested, visit their submission page.
