Since someone caught an HTC Hero running Android 2.1 OS with a new HTC Sense UI, all the Hero owners, here in the US, wants to know when and how they will they having the Eclair treatment. The answer from HTC and Sprint Twitter accounts points to early next year.
As you can see from the images above, we can almost be certain that Moment and Hero users on Sprint, will not get Android 2.1 OS, but instead, Android 2.0 OS.
According to Sprint’s twitter account, the date is “TBD (To Be Determined), but roughly 1H 2010″. HTC’s twitter account says that Sprint Hero will get Eclair “early next year”. It is nice to see that Moment and Hero users will no longer be sticking with Android 1.5 OS and that they will soon get all the goodies that comes with Android Eclair.
