Android 2.1 SDK is released

Almost a week after the release of the Nexus One, the Android 2.1 SDK is also outed. Now that the official release is finally here, there are some new API changes, bug fixes, together with a few other goodies.

This Android 2.1 SDK is only “a minor platform release deployable to Android-powered handsets starting in January 2010.” according to the release notes. There are no external libraries on the downloadable platform, that comes with a fully compliant Android library and system image. The downloadable platform also includes a set of emulator skins, sample apps and many more.

One of the things many of the users are waiting for, is the support for the active dynamic wallpaper development. The wait is finally over, but this is not for you, unless you are a developer.
