Nexus One Tip: How To Copy Ringtones to Nexus One

There are many audio format that Nexus One supports, such as-

* AMR
* MP3
* WAV
* OGG Vorbis
* WMA (8)
* MIDI
* M4A (iTunes application AAC, DRM-free)

This is how you can copy the tunes and use it as your ringtones.

1. Attach the handset to your PC with a USB cable.

2. Open the Notifications panel at the top of your handset’s screen by sliding down.

3. Tap USB connected section.

4. Tap Mount.

5. On your PC, open the drive which represents your device. It must be in My Computer/Computer for the users Windows and The Finder for Mac users.

6. Creat one folder named Ringtones. (though this is optional. Nexus One will locate any kind of supported audio file on SD card.)

7. Copy the supported files to the folder Ringtones.

8. Once you have copied all your fevourite ringtones, slide down the Notification panel on the handset and tap Turn off  USB storage.

Your audio files are now fully ready to be used as ringtones on your Nexus One. You can view these files in the Music application, where you can tap and hold any of the music files and select Use as phone ringtone.
