SlingPlayer Apps for Android Coming Soon

Showcased at the GDGT Live event in Texas was the SlingPlayer app playing out on a Motorola Droid and Nexus One. For those unfamiliar with the app, SlingPlayer allows you to control your home media center through 3G or Wi-Fi. The app controls your Slingbox, which you will have to purchase separately, that sends out media anywhere you’ve got a signal. You can also change the channel and control your DVR using the SlingPlayer app.

SlingPlayer app for Android will be released this Summer. In the meantime, feast your eyes on the video that captures SlingPlayer running on the Android platform.
