LG Optimus GT540 Now Official

In the UK, the LG Optimus GT540 has just been officially announced. It will be available starting from May 1st. The handset runs on Android (1.6 or 2.1) and comes with a customized interface. It has a 3 inch HVGA touchscreen, social networking features (Facebook, Twitter, Bebo and more), Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi, A-GPS, etc.

This gadget supports quad-band GM and dual band UMTS (900/2100 MHz) connectivity and its specs list also includes  a 3 megapixel camera with geotagging, a microSD card slot, a 3.5mm audio jack, Divx/Xvid support, and a 1500 mAh battery.  You can access Google Services and Android Market from it.

In the UK, it will be available in 4 colour versions: white, black, silver and pink. The price is not known yet.
