Google announces Voice Actions and Chrome to Android

Today Google announced the release of a new feature for Android, dubbed Voice Action, at the Google Mobile Event. The very new feature is a way for all of us to be able to speak to our Android gadgets to accomplish tasks.

The commands of this include:

Google Voice Actions

* send email to [contact] [message]
* navigate to [location/business name]
* map of [location]
* call [business]
* call [contact]
* go to [website]
* note to self [note]
* listen to [artist/song/album]
* directions to [location/business name]

 

This brand new feature is available only for Android 2.2 devices, leaving few devices behind, but in time, more devices will follow in tow.
