Micromax phone lovers have a reason to rejoice. The company which has been one of the rapidly growing handset manufacturers in India, plans to unveil its first handset running on Android OS, Micromax Andro by the end of this month. It plans to unveil the phone at a bloggers event in New Delhi on November 27.
It is anticipated that the phone will have a 2.8″ resistive touch screen and a 3.2 mega pixel camera. The phone will run on Android 2.1 platform and will be powered by a 600MHz microprocessor and is expected to be priced between Rs 8000-9000.
It is to be noted that Micromax
is known to come up with high end phones at a competitive price. Earlier in April this year, the company ranked third among the largest cell phone vendor in the country. MicroMax Andro is set to further consolidate the company’s position in the Indian market.
