We were all waiting for it, even though it seemed like Motorola might not have any plans to release the Droid 2 outside of the United States. But thanks to an error on someone at Moto’s part, for but a brief moment an official promotional video for the Motorola Milestone 2 found its way to YouTube. The video was subsequently pulled, but not before someone could get a quick screen grab for posterity’s sake.

The G2 has been exposed for all the world to see. The guys over at Cell Phone Signal have brought upon us the first official pictures of the successor to the first Android phone. As you can see, the device looks a little bit like the Nexus One, but a little more squared off on the edges.

It looks like another tablet has entered the Android world. This one will feature a 10.1″ capacitive touchscreen display, touting a resolution of 1,024 x 600, Froyo, a 1GHz Tegra 2 processor, 16 gigs of internal storage (expandable with a Micro-SD card), an accelerometer, WiFi, mini-usb and mini-HDMI ports, make this device by Hannspree a wonder. It is capable of playing 1080p video, and features a huge 3,500 mAh battery. This tablet sounds like a really nice one, and might even be able to keep up with the soon to be announced Samsung Galaxy Tab.

Huawei has plans to release a new smartphone running Android next week. The Chinese manufacturer has released some other Android devices, and we hope to continue to see more released. While there isn’t any information on the exact cost of the new device, Huawei spokesperson Glory Cheung was cited as saying the new phone would be “highly competitive price-wise”. There is also no news as to which market, globally, the device will be offered in.

There are finally some leaked internal screen shots showing that the Samsung Galaxy Tab will no doubt be coming to the big red, Verizon Wireless. We had a sneaking suspicion that it would be available through Verizon but didn’t want to count our chickens before they hatched.

Sony Ericsson has replied on Twitter saying that the update from the stale 1.6 to 2.1, will happen sometime in September like they had promised for Q3 2010. This has to be good news for Xperia owners, after hearing all the recent news of devices that are getting the 2.2 Froyo update lately.

The quality appears to be really good for watching video on your TV.
