LG’s first Android in South Korea will be called either Andro-1 or LG-KH5200. The company has yet to make it’s way stateside but they have several Android phones in different markets around the world. It has a 3-inch touchscreen, slide out QWERTY keyboard, GPS, HSDPA, EDGE, GRPS, Social Networking, 2MP Camera, Radio Tuner and MicroSD input and Android 1.5.

Coming off their recent deal with Skype, Verizon has now put together a short video discussing all the great things you can do with Skype Mobile. Starting this month the Droid, Droid Eris, and Devour handsets will come loaded with the “new” feature that allows for calls anywhere in the world without using minutes. Skype Mobile will surely be added to every upcoming Android device from Verizon.

AT&T’s first Android device is coming down the pipeline next week, the Motorola Backflip, for $99 on a 2-year contract on March 7. Other than being disappointed with the industrial design of this device there might be something else to complain about. A recent hands-on by Engadget’s Chris Zeigler found that all of the default Google search was taken out of the device and replaced with Yahoo search (which will use Bing soon enough). Let me repeat that; all Google search is taken out of AT&T’s Android device in favor of Yahoo search.

Cryptographically secure phones has been around for quite sometime now but the use of such devices are highly underutilized due to their high cost and low user support. Android is now being used by Guardian Project in an effort to bring these types of devices to the masses. The hopes of some users for this to land on T-Mobile has been squashed (for now). Dell are in talks with AT&T to offer the Mini 5 on their network possibly subsidized. The Mini 5 will indeed be compatible with the Android Market and there is a strong possibility for future Dell tablets to choose resistive screens over capacitive.

Eciting news from the makers of the Mini 5, Dell. Wired has the scoop straight from Neeraj Choubey, GM of Dell’s tablet division, that there will be “a family of tablets” which will “scale up to a variety of sizes.” So it seems the Mini5 will not be alone.
