A new phone will be soon be hitting the market with Android 2.2 already installed. The Huawei Ideos (U8150-B) is now making the rounds at the Global Certification Forum, as well as the FCC. The Archos branded tablets keep on comin’. While news of the Archos 32 just broke not too long ago, apparently there was another tablet taking the FCC journey at the same time. The Archos A28 tablet is, actually, not a tablet at all, shockingly enough. In point of fact, it looks like Archos is making a cell phone — even if they are still going to label it a tablet, even after it launches.

Phonescoop has discovered that the FCC has approved a Motorola MB710, which they say greatly resembles the MOTOROI that shipped in non-US markets earlier this year. FCC documentation shows that the device operates in the WCDMA 1700MHz AWS spectrum, which designates it as a T-Mobile device, and the manual also mentions T-Mobile-specific features like “MyFaves. Pictures would indicate an 8 megapixel camera with a xenon flash. The MOTOROI was a capable device at its launch, but we do not currently know the hardware specs on this device.

Usually when a handset passes the FCC it’s really close to being released. The Samsung M910 is expected to be the Moment 2 and it has just passed through the FCC. Looks like the original Moment will have a short lifespan just like the HTC Eris. Hopefully 2.1 still get pushed to both of these devices, Sprint has pretty much confirmed the update for both their current Android devices so it’s now a waiting game.
