Well look what we have here, its an LG Android equipped handset that looks similar to the Galaxy S, on a smaller scale. Packed below it’s 3.2 inch capacitive display, is a Qualcomm MSM7227 processor, GPS, Wi-Fi, and a 5 megapixel camera on back. It will be running 2.2 and have some sort of new UI that we have apparently not seen before.

It looks like Rogers will be getting a couple of mid-range Android phones to add to its lineup soon.
Stores have apparently been getting dummy phones of the LG Gt540 and the LG Neon 2, an obvious successor to the Neon being currently sold. The Neon 2, like the Neon, has a slide out Qwerty, while the GT540 is in the increasingly popular “slab” construct. There’s no specifics on hardware on either device, but there’s nothing spectacular there. While there’s no official pricing on either handset, MobileSyrup is hypothesizing a $29.99 price-tag with a 3-year contract.

With so much hoopla on Android 2.2 coming to the flagship phones on each carrier, it’s easy to forget about the mid-range phones in the lineup. Well Verizon and LG haven’t forgotten about it’s core of Ally users. LG has specifically said that the Ally will indeed be receiving Android 2.2 but can’t confirm a date.

We just told you that Samsung has a tablet coming out. Furthermore, we divulged that the company plans on releasing it in the third quarter of this year. And, from what we already know about it (it’s the Galaxy Tab, mind you), we are pretty excited about it. Not to be left in the wind, LG Electronics has come forward and said that they, too, will have an Android-based tablet made available this year. But, it’s not coming out until the fourth quarter.

Originally expected to be available later this fall, the LG Optimus Z is actually available today on KT and SK Telecom in Korea. Sporting a nice 1GHz Snapdragon processor and a 3.5-inch 800×480 screen with 5 megapixel camera, this phone should prove itself capable in most Android shoot-outs. Also available on this device is the unique ability to control it from a PC via Bluetooth or USB.

LG Korea has announced plans for an Android-based tablet, to be released in Q4 2010. Details on the new device are scant; however LG are also looking at a refresh of the Optimus Z SU950 in Q4, which will be updated to Android 2.2, one of four significant Android phone launches in Korea this year.

There hasn’t been much coverage on this device since it’s not available here in the US. It may never make it over here but in Europe (mainly France) this is a very popular handset. It has been rooted by none other than Paul aka Modaco.

Some internal documents were leaked recently to the guys over at BGR. These documents contained all sorts of information on the upcoming LG Ally. We now know that it’s coming to Verizon and pre-orders will start this May 13th. This phone will also bring with it a few alterations to Android.

LG has now officially confirmed the existence of its new Android-powered LG Ally handset. The release date is set for May 20th. Where it’s going to land is anyone’s guess. LG did not mention which carrier or carriers will support the device.

LG has teamed up with the makers of Iron Man 2. A commercial has leaked that displays the LG Ally in all its glory (kind of). If you’re waiting for a physical keyboard and Android you may have a few choices soon. This phone is also rumored to be landing on Verizon’s network.
