Although we’ve heard that the Samsung Galaxy S was headed to every major carrier in the US, it seems T-Mobile might be the first out the gate with their version. It has just passed through the FCC and it could (highly unlikely) make it way to Magenta in time for the free phone promotion this Saturday.

Samsung is making a big move this time and a very rare one. Samsung will be launching Galaxy S, its next big Android smartphone simultaneously in 110 countries. As far as I can remember, this would be for the first time in telecom history. Galaxy S is surely the device worthy of buying, but will Samsung’s move pay off.
We do not know about a specific launch date, but rumors suggest that the launches with start soon and continue for coming days in different countries.

Samsung Galaxy 5 Spotted in The Wild
May 22nd, 2010Samsung has another Android device in the works, the Galaxy 5 or the GT-I5500 will be hitting the streets soon. This little device packs in Android 2.1 along with a few other features. This device hasn’t really been covered much with all the excitement around the EVO and the Galaxy S so it may be something new for most of you out there.

Samsung Galaxy S sails through the FCC

Coming one step closer to being releases, we now see that the Samsung Galaxy S has passed through the FCC. And in return, this listing has given us the plain looking phone diagram showing the FCC label for the Model GT-I9000 Mobile Phone, which is otherwise known as the Samsung Galaxy S. The listing has also confirmed that the Galaxy S will come sporting support for AT&T’s 3G bands. Of course, we are still yet to see anything come from AT&T about the release.
Samsung Galaxy I5700 Spica Getting Android 2.1 in Q2

Unwired View reports the update has been confirmed by Samsung in Poland, but no news on whether or not the Galaxy i7500 will get the same treatment.

January 29th, 2010Here we go, another day another leaked picture of an upcoming Android phone. This is almost becoming a daily occurrence around these parts. This time it comes in the form of the follow up to the Samsung Galaxy, the Galaxy 2 enters the area.
Let’s all hope that the specs of this device turns out to be true Samsung will add another beast of a phone to the Android lineup of already a strong group of phones releasing this year. It is outfitted with a 1GHZ Snapdragon, yes folks this is another Snapdragon will be in the lineup. And if you take into account that Samsung has the ability to tweak CPU’s and storage this could turn out to be a really interesting phone. Here is some of the suspected specs.

Bell launches the Samsung Galaxy at $99.95

In any case, Bell Canada has just announced the Samsung Galaxy for $99.95 with new 3-year contract. You’ll get a 3.2-inch AMOLED screen, 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, and usual slew of connectivity options wrapped up in a rather dated Android 1.5 OS.
