The Spica will get a major boost sometime between April and June, moving from Android 1.5 to 2.1.

Unwired View reports the update has been confirmed by Samsung in Poland, but no news on whether or not the Galaxy i7500 will get the same treatment.

We have seen the Samsung Galaxy for a while now and its smaller sibling the Galaxy Lite has been spied a few times as well. Said little brother the Samsung i5700 Spica is set to hit stores sometime in 2010. We have seen pics of the handset before and today it has turned up in a video demo.

The guys over at ai.rs blog have managed to get their hands on Samsung’s upcoming Android phone – the Samsung I5700 Galaxy Lite.

As the name suggests, the handset is a slimmed down version of the Samsung I7500 Galaxy, with the main differences being the I5700’s 3.2 mega-pixel camera and 1GB of memory (the I7500 has a 5 mega-pixel camera and 8GB storage).
