You know, we’d be ecstatic if the Galaxy was launched in the beginning of 2009 as opposed to the end of 2009 because there’s just so many other Android devices to choose from. In any case, Bell Canada has just announced the Samsung Galaxy for $99.95 with new 3-year contract. You’ll get a 3.2-inch AMOLED screen, 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, and usual slew of connectivity options wrapped up in a rather dated Android 1.5 OS.

You’re looking at the first known image of the upcoming Samsung (I6500/I6500U) Saturn. Although we don’t have any solid specs to confirm (yet), the consensus is this will have an 800MHz chip along the lines of other recent Samsung handsets. We don’t see any signs of that silly ‘Cube‘ button so we’re good with it so far.

Mmm, either I need my pills, or I need to get off the SciFi channel for a bit.

Okay, so we just talked about how Samsung is steering away from the Redmond giant and its WinMo OS. And now – a couple of days late I must say – we hear that Samsung will try to enter the open mobile platform arena. And it will do so with “bada“, which means Ocean in Korean.
