If you haven’t checked out the Telus website today then you might have missed the HTC Desire sitting nice and pretty in the smartphone section which is available today. The phone is available from $80 with a 3-year contract, and includes a charging cable as well as an 8GB SD Card in the box. The webpage lists features like 7 homescreens, live social media updates, viewing rich webpages with flash support, and access to many Android apps. The phone is pretty standard on the hardware front; 3.7″ 800×480 LCD screen, 512 RAM, and ROM, as well as a 5 MP camera. Pretty good for $80. What do you think? Are you getting this phone? Telus, one of the leading carriers in the frozen tundra also known as Canada, announced today that they’ll be getting the HTC Desire and that it’ll be part of their back-to-school group of phones. Telus, one of the leading Canadian telecom giants, has made an official announcement that they will soon be including the Motorola Milestone in their mobile device lineup. Looks like the Canucks will finally get their first device with 480×854 resolution.

The Droid-ish Milestone features an ultra-thin 13.7 mm design, 3.7-inch widescreen displau, pinch-zoom, a 5 megapixel flash-enabled camera, and turn-by-turn GPS navigation.
A concrete launch date hasn’t been released yet, but Motorola’s currently taking signups here for product updates.

While Rogers seems content with the lower priced and older Android handsets, Telus on the other hand will soon begin offering the HTC Hero. And on top of that, they will be the exclusive carrier for the HTC Hero.
