Coming off their recent deal with Skype, Verizon has now put together a short video discussing all the great things you can do with Skype Mobile. Starting this month the Droid, Droid Eris, and Devour handsets will come loaded with the “new” feature that allows for calls anywhere in the world without using minutes. Skype Mobile will surely be added to every upcoming Android device from Verizon.

LG has been selling some great phone on the Verizon network for years. But as the name on our site implies, we’re mostly interested in Android handsets. We’ve seen a few Android phones from LG, but up until now, they have only been available in the European market.

LG Android Phone

Late last night, we got word that LG will be launching two new Android phones on Verizon’s network before April! While going over the 2010 Sprint lineup on VZW with an LG rep, our source learned that one handset would be a full touch device (similar to the HTC DROID Eris) while the other would feature a full QWERTY keyboard and described it as having an LG EnV Touch form factor. At this point, we’re not sure exactly what that means. As you might already know, the LG EnV Touch flips open to reveal the QWERT and a smaller secondary screen. My suspicion is that the QWERTY equipped Android phone heading to Verizon will be more like the LG GW620. Fortunately, Mobile World Congress is only two weeks out, so we should see full specs, picture, and maybe even launch dates and pricing by the end of the show.

Are you getting sick of the Android TV spots yet? I can hardly turn on my TV without coming across one of the dozen ad spots currently in rotation. Expect the onslaught to continue through the holiday season. Verizon is spending 100 million on Droid ads and HTC claimed they would have “more media coverage than Coca Cola“. Sprint also shows no signs of slowing down and has begun giving their Hero phone more airtime.

Which company do you think has the best marketing campaign so far?

Verizon’s Moto Droid has barely been out (and sold pretty well) for a week or so and it’s already having some issues. It seems that its 5 megapixel camera was in dire need for a fix, since it was dealing with autofocus problem.

Said camera was unable to properly lock onto subjects, but now it has started behaving well, or so claim most of its users hanging out on forums. Are we dealing with a quiet bug fix? Most users say that the problem was gone once the phone was rebooted or the settings were changed.

This latest little bit in regards to the Motorola Droid is a nice follow up to the previous sales estimates, the one where analysts suggested that the Droid sold 100,000 units during launch weekend.

Basically, that number is just expanded from the first weekend into the first week and it looks like the new number was 250,000.
