We know the Samsung Android tablet is coming, but we still don’t know exactly when, or who will be getting it first. Well, it seems there is now photographic evidence that the Samsung Galaxy tablet will be heading to Vodafone UK sometime in the not-too-distant future.

Three new handsets went on sale through Vodafone UK today, two of which are running on Android. The LG Optimus and Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro joined the Blackberry Pearl 3G to add a few more options to Vodafone’s smartphone lineup. On a two-year contract priced at £20 per month both Android devices are free. At that pricing you will get a modest 100 minutes of talk time, 500 texts, and 500MB of data.

If you bought the Nexus One on Vodafone, you got Android 2.1. No surprise there, considering it was the phone to launch the mobile OS into the world. But, with that being said, everyone who owns a Nexus One has either been waiting patiently to get their official upgrade to Froyo (which was released by Google a little while ago), especially those on carriers. Getting updates from your wireless carrier can be a bit of a pain, as all Motorola Droid owners know, but Vodafone is hoping to calm of their wireless customers down here next week.

Already found in several countries is the X10 Mini, now a newer QWERTY-enabled version of the Android phone is due to arrive. Vodafone will be stocking the Sony Ericsson the thicker newer version. Its “Coming Soon” page has a featured entry for the Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro which allows those to register for the Mini Pro when Vodafone is prepared to release the phone.

The Vodafone 845 is the latest model from one of the UK’s largest networks. It is not designed to be as good as the HTC Desire or the new Samsung Galaxy S, but more of a budget, for the masses type Android phone. It comes with an average (at best) 2.8″ screen and you can view photos on it that you have taken with its 3.2 megapixel camera. It also comes with 3G support and in-built GPS which is rather good for such a budget handset.

Vodafone have come clean with their latest Android handset, the super-small Vodafone 845 first spotted in the wild a couple of weeks back. Measuring a scant 100 x 55 x 13 mm, the 845 has a 2.8-inch touchscreen, Android 2.1 Eclair and a 3.2-megapixel camera.

According to initial rumors, the Nexus One should have been available via Vodafone since late January or early February. However, Google’s first phone is not ready yet for Voda.
And although there hasn’t been any official announcement about the exact release date of Nexus One via Vodafone, it looks like the carrier’s subscribers in the UK will be able to buy the smartphone starting April.

Anyone in the UK that has been waiting for a duty-free Nexus One to be launched this month may be in for a bit of bad news. According to the Inquirer, Google themselves has delayed the launch of the Nexus One on the Vodafone network. The device is still available for UK consumers but they will have to pay for the tax on top of the phone’s cost.
